The Santa Rosa Marathon Race Details
The Courses
The flat and fast half marathon course runs through downtown Santa Rosa and along the Santa Rosa Creek Trail and Prince Memorial Greenway. The full marathon course also extends into west Sonoma County passing by scenic vineyards and even running through the barrel room of DeLoach Vineyards!
Both courses are USATF-certified (CA17048RS) and the full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier!


5K/10K
The 5K and 10K both run through downtown and along the Santa Rosa Creek Trail and the Prince Memorial Greenway.

The Santa Rosa Marathon Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will be held on Friday, August 25th and Saturday, August 26th. Location and time information coming soon!
IMPORTANT: There will be no race day packet pickup for any races. You must pick up your packet on Friday or Saturday (for half and full marathons). Alternatively, you can choose to have your packet mailed to you*. Simply select that option during online registration before the deadline (to be announced).
Don’t forget your ID! You’ll need it to pick up your wine (for full and half marathon runners).
DIRECTIONS & PARKING
Both the start and finish lines are conveniently located in downtown Santa Rosa on 4th Street next to the Old Courthouse Square. There’s ample parking conveniently located throughout downtown Santa Rosa. View up-to-date parking information from the City of Santa Rosa.AID STATIONS

GEAR CHECK
Gear Check will open at 6 am for the 10K & 5K on Saturday August 26th. Gear Check will officially close at 10:30 am.
Gear Check will open at 5:30 am for the half & full on Sunday August 27 th. Gear check will officially close at 1:30 pm.
Use your sack pack that you received at packet pick as your gear check bag. Your tag will be attached to your bib. Pull the tab from your bib and attach it to your sack pack with the beaded faster given to you at packet pick up. Please no oversized items or back packs. Santa Rosa Marathon is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
PACERS
We provide experienced pacers for both the full and half marathons. Members of the pace team will be at the expo on Friday to answer any questions and share their experience with you. There’s no need to sign-up with the pacers in advance – just keep an eye out for them in uniform with pace signs on Sunday morning. They’ll be thrilled to say hi and meet some new running friends!
Pacers for the half marathon range from 1:30 to 3:00 finish times in the following 10-minute increments: 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30, 2:40, 2:50, 3:00.
Pacers for the full marathon will range from 3:00 to 5:20 in the following increments: 3:00, 3:05, 3:10, 3:20, 3:25, 3:30, 3:35, 3:40, 3:50, 3:55, 4:05, 4:20, 4:35, 4:50, 5:05, 5:20. Note, with the recent reduction of Boston qualifying times, the pacers are placed to match qualifying times this year.
POST-RACE PARTY
The fun doesn’t end once you cross the finish line! Stick around for an after-party including a DJ and giveaways while enjoying two complimentary beers from some amazing breweries (21+)! Additional beer will be available for purchase. Stay tuned for more exciting details!
